Radiohead

In 2001, was born about the time when his first child, made it his habit to Thom Yorke, at dusk to go alone on the dirt roads and fields near his house. "My car has this great blue spotlight, and this color blended it with the wild animals that escaped into the bushes. At dusk I found myself in a sort of dream state. The area where we live is beautiful, but I heard always a melody by Penderecki, which is really ominous and scary and then I got more uneasy forebodings. "These lonely journeys inspired Yorke to the ideas that now constitute the bulk of the sixth album by Radiohead. "Many things I have written very quickly. Pages over pages of notes that seemed at first very much disjointed sentences were that I had heard on the radio now, where I suddenly father was, I listened to more radio, especially during the hourly news. the war in Afghanistan will also stick in my head. I was completely crazy lists of persons in public life, which I had on the Kieker "laughs Yorke. "We had taken a half year break and Ed asked, 'Can you write some of your ideas for new songs' I did not try to write a song, I only demos that others should listen to when we met, I said. 'If you do not like the stuff, I do not even right, then we start just yet once again on. 'But the others were very satisfied. "In early 2002 the quintet was composed in his rehearsal space in Oxfordshire, to bring for the next six months, the new material in the form. "We are an old-fashioned band in the sense that we are working very hard on the arrangements," says Jonny Greenwood. "We have made endless long test shots, until we finally had a compilation of the best songs. When we finally went into the studio, we were able to give Nigel (Godrich) ready material and work faster." At the time, tested the band's new material on several European concerts. Colin Greenwood remembers: "One of the starting points for the new album was, I Might Be Wrong ', the live compilation of songs, Kid A' and 'Amnesiac', which we had recorded a few years ago, we had an idea. . what would happen if we take for Hail To The Thief 'songs that we had already played live "in September 2002, the band flew to Los Angeles producer Nigel Godrich had insisted on making the shots there. "I remember when we, Kid A, recordings," in a country house in the middle of nowhere, like Nigel vorschwärmte always, we would have to be in LA, because we could eat sushi, "recalls Johnny," but instead we got up at midnight on ! any market in Oxfordshire, where even the street lights were already turned off, so we wanted to do a favor this time Nigel -. but only for two weeks "" Nigel dragged us out to LA, "added Ed O'Brien," because he there for three albums Date had two with pelvic and one with Travis. We had always been reluctant because, frankly, Radiohead has nothing to do with the Hotel California-feeling, that sounds really do not like a perfect marriage. But we quickly realized that you can work there without being swayed by what is going on there, leave. We have the recordings made there so far the best experience. Every day we have made a song finished. We were not too fussy or overly intellectual, we trusted himself, Nigel, the studio, the songs and just let go "Phil Selway added:" When we went to the tour for 'Kid A' and 'Amnesiac' paused, gave Thom us CDs of new songs with -. only voice, guitar and piano. We listened to the things they left a little slump, and with the time came up with ideas of how to develop the songs best. It was the exact opposite of 'Kid A', where we do prepared for anything and had in the studio eerily were under pressure. While this can sometimes be quite stimulating, but most often it is more debilitating. meant the two months to prepare things to move in LA much faster came. At, Kid A ', we have all !. six weeks recorded for a while – now it was every day one "Ed O'Brien said:" This time we had our power back, which had been missing since, The Bends' The climate affects the way how to make music, but much, and much of 'The Bends' was recorded in the sunny summer of 1994 new This time we had good weather -. every day we left at 17:30, the studio clock and drove up to the Griffith Park Observatory, walked and looked us . the area of

Freethinkers

First come rhythm and message, then melody. Hi KO makes the beats, raps a Schilett his part, together they wrote the chorus, and finally throws Hi KO nor his verse in the pot. Recent searches DJ Emperor other songs that plow through a related topic, scratching them into pieces into his own, creating new perspectives. In this way, were at the one hundred pieces have come, as we learned in an interview on MTV by Herbert Grönemeyer's label Greenland records. They sent out a demo, and behold, found the lyrics Gröni great. A contract was the way in the province. "Finally we were able to realize our musical visions!" KO says hi. On the one atypical hip-hop producers like Kraan de Lutin and the Hamburg quartet Deicide have been contrived to work in the studio. On the other hand, the sounds were produced mostly by organic instruments. And that meant not only real, human beatbox mouth, but also live violin, piano, percussion, acoustic guitar and bass fiddle. The resulting album sounds like nothing else on the horizon rap. Rather, there are songs that the trio are now served – will be songs, which occasionally also times rapping instead of singing. The province may have advantages. Free thinkers are from Neckarsulm and enjoy the silence. From this they make no bones about it. "We are terrified of the hustle and bustle of the big city," declared Schilett. And that's why they make such beautiful music. Exactly why its packed full of rape as sharp word loaded ammunition. So they shoot at wrong politicians and meek fellow citizens as well as on the party platitudes and fairy tales of the urban gangster rap competition. Schilett: ".. Because we live far away from the urban scene, we are free from it we can develop ourselves, without us ever having to dictate what can be, not from any fashion, nor of any scene dogmas" Nine years have been together, Hi KO and Schilett. They met because they live in the same area. Hi KO grew up with Elvis and Heavy Metal. Schiletts first album was an album by Iron Maiden. Together they discovered the radio station and the local GIs to Public Enemy. Hi KO built for himself a small home studio together, they hit it off yourself. "I always dreamed of it already takes to merge hip-hop with real instruments with the computer," said Hi KO. "But there were no opportunities." Hi KO was time pastry chef, landscaper times, once an assistant in the accounting department. Schilett is an eternal student. Influenced by German rap committed by Advanced Chemistry from Heidelberg and joined by Talib Kweli from Brooklyn, she also managed to live and so far as Basel. 1999 still came to the group DJ Kaiser, who provided two Grammos and ten fingers twirling the scratching. They called themselves Rapz Royal. The trio now indulged without restraint to their muse. Schilett: "We make hip-hop, but hip-hop, which goes to the maximum limits and sometimes even exceed." Something else has brought back the 3 guys from the long days in the studio – a new name, of their spirit to perfect the point leads. Exactly: freethinkers.

Dana Winner

In Belgium, Dana Winner lives up to its name for over a decade, all the glory. Everything that touches the pretty singer, respectively, published, gold or platinum and decorated with all kinds of music awards. As her countryman Helmut Lotti Dana Winner is not only the country of the Flemings and Walloons a superstar. Meanwhile, the sympathetic artist, who conquered in 1993 with her debut album "Rainbow" straight to the top of the charts, successfully in many other countries. South Africa has become to phenomenal record sales and touring almost celebrated her second home. And in Germany, the German vocalist since her debut, "Where is the feeling?" Which brought her 1997 hit the diamond for best newcomer, a highly-traded master in the art to embellish songs almost regal. Dana Winner to their songs in French, Flemish, German, English and even Afrikaans singing, proves to be as well with their new album "Wonderland of emotions" as a versatile artist, singing first rate. Already in autumn 2001, Dana Winner in Belgium was published with "Unforgettable," an album that only contains cover versions of pop classics, including hits such as "Morning Has Broken" and "I'll Always Be There." The beautifully put together collection of songs proved so successful that the fans asked for a replacement soon. In November 2002, Dana presented with "Unforgettable Too" at last the second successful edition memorable hits like "Do not It Make My Brown Eyes Blue" and "Everything I Do." And just a cross section of the two "Unforgettable" best-seller in Denmark has entered the top ten. 'Land of the feelings "will now continue with the thoughtful abundant precious metal for success for the German-speaking countries, with the focus here is on the ballads. Just over half of the album consists of new getexteten, German versions of English pop classics like Brian Hyland's "Sealed With A Kiss", which here means "all summer long," and Peter Sarstedts "Where Do You Go To My Lovely," which as a magical tribute "Paris, you're like a rose" blooms again. The wonderfully smooth single "Wonderland feeling" based on a well-known presentation: In 1991, this romantic ballad titled "Save The Best For Last," a hit for Vanessa Williams. With her crystal clear voice lends Dana Winner titles all but a very unique charm. Whether orchestrated or fully instrumented sparingly, Dana Winner feels in any environment in their element. Even with her duet partner, the Belgian pop singer Frank Galan, with which she sings "Always and over again," she knows how to shine. Dana Winner interpreted with an emphasis that seeks the pop genre peers. Kansas' "Dust In The Wind" promoted under the title "Hearts in the Wind" into a sensual pleasure, Johnny Logan's "How About Us" comes as "This Love will never pass away" to an emotional masterpiece, and the elegant "Live with me tonight, "the original" Do That To Me One More Time "by Captain & Tenille, is a treat for each of finely annoying love songs. Together with the English-language titles that represent the best of the two "Unforgettable" album, including Mike Oldfield's "Moonlight Shadow", Vangelis' shimmering opulence of "Conquest of Paradise", Roy Orbinsons immortal sentimentality "Crying" and Anne Murray's "You Needed Me, "is the 'Land of the feelings" is a truly fabulously dramatic and skillfully prepared song menu, the friends of timeless popular music as well as any pop ecstasy Gourmet. As they say in the Abba-medley, which can end as a bonus the album: The Winner Takes It All.

Ready, Go

Ready, Go! A band name like an unsolicited bid for the pop history books. Unbridled optimism spreading. Backing lots youthful promise of expressivity. Manifesto boldly practiced non-conformism '. To be sure kit separating the mere inclusion or a deciding-written characters makes this regard since the days of pioneers like Rip, Rig And Panic, Mighty Wah! and Wham! more than twenty years ago from an exceptionally talented guitar band for a long time no innovation award winners of the German Phono Academy. In the case of FSK, to which it is to go below, leaves the choice of group name, but after all, to draw conclusions on the need of its constituent members, one or the other charming custom of the market but to give up yet, with all due vigor. The general framework in which was the previous career of the four musicians have, meanwhile, are also on closer inspection, called exactly a picture perfect: after friendship and acquaintance closure at primary or driving school decide guitarist and vocalist Philip Leu, guitarist Raphael Dwinger, bassist Julia Viechtl and drummer Florian will in the summer of 2004, to form a band. The review of an early demo CD in a Munich city magazine gives the band at first the attention of the "Focus on Pop" label boss Marc Liebscher and subsequent EP release in June 2006 ("ernenn the West Wind 'I went to my hairdresser") and finally a major deal the Sony-BMG's Columbia label Germany. The release of their debut album "The Heart is a collector," which, under the direction of producer Jem (Madsen, etc.) stands and Mario Thaler (Slut, Notwist, etc.) in Weilheim Uphon recording studio was built for April 2007 in the release Plans. Currently the band with the song "She's in love with me" from the "West Wind" CD in the video game "FIFA 07" represented (select group of German!). On the album title came singer and songwriter Philip Leu in the reading of the Bodo Kirchhoff's novel "parlando". "The title, The Heart is a collector fits' very well with the album because the songs are all very autobiographical. I write about the things I have in 24 years, life happened. Then came together so much that it has served for twelve songs, "he explains. "The songs on this album are key facets of my experience dealing with women, trends and extreme right. "The first single," A Secret "shows Philip as a trend, for example, arises at all. "I enjoy this completely see through plans by mobile phone companies or record labels who are trying to something mysterious and mysterious build a product or a band," he explains. "There is often a major marketing effort is, but it simply lacks the substance behind it. "The immunity against such strategies, however, he considers neither possible nor desirable. "I do not think there is someone who is immune. I myself currently fall again on something pure. I want to buy a particular mobile phone because it looks great. Although I do know that it's just bad, "he admits. "But if one is immune, it will eventually no sense of humor and has no more fun in life. "And you want with all seriousness of the Ready, Go! subjects not machined by the wayside. Above all, the quartet at concerts by sympathetic white restraint and well-tempered wit at maximally outlived enthusiasm is always the absolute delight of all present to join up. A cheerful mood, sometimes angry, 'rattles with the serious intention of chosen words to each other. For example, the song "I do not know what it's like." "I am often laughed at, so I say no more at concerts that the song is about my grandmother," says Philip. "The response is always, Ha ha ha, how sweet, singing about his grandmother. ' But it is a very serious issue. It's bad when you realize, like an old man still breathing, but not really alive. I remember how she was active and had passion. And now she sits all day watching TV and Give it a and it does not matter what's going on. "Philip declared favorite subject is and will remain, however, relationships and the resulting complications. He describes in "The remains here," the fear of the disappointed of a new relationship ("We must not become the slave of his own thoughts. You should leave everything behind and start each new relationship bias") and explained in "parallel only" the incompatibility pair related CV ("These lines simply do not work in parallel. away necessarily, but run together at times, but never cross each other. '). "I cry," the oldest song of the album was made on that day, when Philip was about a girl jilted and marks a dramatic point in his self-discovery as a copywriter. "Until then I had always censored myself because I thought, what people will think of me if I'm honest? With this song I thought to myself, then fuck 'on it yet! Write it exactly the way you feel about it right now and that is perhaps the best. 'From this point, I was satisfied with my lyrics and they have not hated by half a year. "It is this particular kind of conscious and especially the choice of topics and reconditioning, the repertoire of the quartet – in addition to creating the very obvious ability, brilliant melodies and harmonies – characterized. A lyrical sensibility and sense of musical beauty, as we know they maybe Jens Lekman, The Feeling and the Shout Out Louds estimates and not miss the best will want. Riot and ruckus, aufgepimpte Cheesiness and escape into the retro-Quote hell left the other in Munich. "In my lyrics I'm simply aware of my personal grievances. No anger, but a thought-and-hold-in-words of the inner emotional life, "says the guitarist and singer. That these activities in future also will be inferior dislocation content is beyond question: "It is ultimately always on my personal life, because everything feeds it. With the issues that I experience, so do the lyrics and the music. "During the recordings, the band is allowed a single production technology luxury – the use of a theremin. "This tool is fascinating," says Philip. "It has caused goose bumps, if only in the room. It has taken me under its spell, since I've seen a copy of the Deutsches Museum. It's a crazy idea that you can play it without touching it. It is virtually uncontrollable. Later I noticed that I know the sound of even a few plates. "

Van Hunt

Who has ever heard of soul music of the early seventies, especially by Curtis Mayfield and Marvin Gaye, deeply moved, who knows that it would not exist without Sly Stone and James Brown, also a Prince, as we know it, which is best for Van Hunt repealed. The 26-year-old musician from Atlanta – singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, arranger and producer in one – released these days simply be "Van Hunt"-titled debut album, which is deeply rooted in the golden age of soul music, but so refreshing acts like a breeze after a long lull. In the U.S., Van Hunt is not celebrated by some as the new star of the Soul: "The hunt for the next great soul artist is over," said a jubilant People, Rolling Stone gave the same three and a half stars for "an album without any duds" and the New York Times called him bluntly, "the artist known as the new Prince." With the same could justifiably call him as the new Stevie Wonder – it is, Van Hunt is a tingly feeling soulful artist who knows how to fill in the history of the genre with new life and huge melodic imagination. On his debut album, Van Hunt perfect all around has worked for several years. As early as 1997 wrote of the then only 19-year-old musician his first songs. "Hopeless," one of his very early works, was by Dionne Farris (ex-Arrested Development) was added and the soul-oriented soundtrack, "Love Jones" was released. Van Hunt has subsequently worked with the singer Cree, he has produced 1999 "Love In Stereo", the second album of neo-soul stars Rashaan Patterson, and eventually played with Alicia Keys, which is inspired by Van Hunt, "one of the most incredible musicians I know. " The largest source of musical inspiration for Van Hunt next to the music is nonetheless his own father, who sometimes took as a pimp and hired his young son still in seedy establishments – an experience that the atmosphere of the album will have a decisive impact. He dedicates his album "to the pimps, ho's and hustlers for whom I strive To provide background music." There is no longer so common that a solo artist, after years of searching to publish a debut album, which they seem to have fulfilled all their artistic visions. Van Hunt has managed this feat. With his high falsetto voice of the singer inevitably recalls Curtis Mayfield, but for all his self-composed songs force themselves again and again on parallels with Prince, Van Hunt worshiped for many years. However, the artist calls a lot of other sources of inspiration: Duke Ellington, Ray Charles, Muddy Waters, Thelonious Monk, Charles Mingus, James Brown and Sylvester Stewart. Indeed, Van Hunt has taste and knowledge seem enormous. Clearly, here is an aspiring musician has not done more and not less, than the various territories of black music to fertilize again. And so his songs sound extremely mature and wise, but always light-footed and seductive. Some years, Van Hunt on the final completion of his debut album, used in over half a dozen studios and after the twelve songs on a form adopted, as it could not be more perfect. Despite the involvement of many renowned musicians such as guitarist Wendy Melvoin (Prince & The Revolution), drummer Matt Chamberlain (David Bowie, Tori Amos), pedal steel guitarist Paul Franklin (George Jones, Brooks & Dunn), percussionist Lenny Castro (Eric Clapton , Rolling Stones), keyboardist Patrick Warren (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Macy Gray) and trumpeter Nolan Smith (Marvin Gaye, Gap Band), the production of the album extremely well balanced and marked by transparency and restraint. This applies also for the wonderful accents, David Campbell, Beck's father, is in some songs with his string arrangements. "Van Hunt" is an album which is very hard to emphasize highlights, especially since none of the twelve songs reveals the slightest weakness. The gentle ballad "What Can I Say" could be a pop masterpiece from The Beatles and Sting, "Out Of The Sky" is a wonderfully woven radio jam, decorated with flute, psychedelic wah-wah guitar, because you can feel true that Van Hunt and the vocal harmonies of Earth, Wind & Fire have studied carefully must. "Who Will Love Me in Winter" is a seductive Talking Blues, "Seconds Of Pleasure", however, a perfect blend of blues and soul. "Dust" is loose, confident rhythm guitar and lead vocals, which begins with Van Hunt anbetungswürdigem feeling. Each song is an ode to the history of soul music. "Van Hunt" is reminiscent in its perfection of the first works of D'Angelo and Lenny Kravitz. Is there a better recommendation and perfume: A Memoir of My Father Van Hunt was a part-time painter and pimp. He established himself in the summer, sometimes in a mental hospital. This was the result of a fake insanity in order to escape the heat and monotony of his full-time jobs as factory workers. And, at least one occasion, I visited him there in his cell, where he had to share thoughts and toilet paper with "really" crazy guy. Seen from the eyes of a child, the life of my father was something very fascinating. He and his friends were ape-sharp clothes, smoked some weed, told a lot of manure and chasing after women. He often took me easily. And I loved it. I loved him and observe how he dragged women into a back room as the door closed behind them. I loved listening to it, and tried with all his might, from the sounds that reached my ear, to be smart. Sometimes, when everything was over, I snuck into the room and wondered what had caused this most peculiar smell – a heavy, bitter mixture of sweat and perfume. But I was blown away. I loved it in those smoky dives and hanging out with my feet to the music to rock, while my father and his friends playing cards against each other insults. Seemed almost the beats of the drums and their behavior to stir up even more – in view of their bloodshot eyes – the effect of alcohol in their veins to accelerate. Guitar and wind seeped through to them and had their hands twitch uncontrollably to the rhythms, "1,2,3,4". Every five minutes someone came and went – I know some others do not. They stuck to the doorman money, asked for a certain girl or for a certain type of grass. Then they first had to wait a while and did not often one belämmerten impression. They felt only comfortable when their wish was granted. I was blown away. It was a numbing feeling. It has captured my imagination. Soon I began to imagine a soundtrack to the scenes and images that I saw myself exposed. I heard in my mind words and melodies with this strange dusty romance. I was absolutely delighted with pictures on album covers and on the sleeves of big words like "synthesizer" or "Hollywood". I exploded in thoughts and ideas. I began to sing my own songs in front of thousands of people I saw in the mirror. And for that I played guitar licks on a broomstick. But I had become curious about what happened to real people in broad daylight, and then so as to fall into the night. Only much later I found out. I found out that an acre can be beautiful, but also the concerns can be monitored. It opens your eyes to the harsh reality of the problems in relationships and the demons in your head. An inner voice stirs gibberish to you. And when the night falls, you fall into your vices. This inner conflict and the struggle to stay healthy, stimulating me. Finally, it is my personal struggle, I am trying to put on paper. I love it. And I live to write about. And it all started with my father and his friends. VAN HUNT about "Van Hunt" "Dust," I started playing drums and saxophone when I was still in high school, and later still playing the guitar, bass and keyboards. Only then I discovered my voice to sing. My father has always encouraged me, when it came to my music. One evening he came with an old album back home. "Look at this guy once," he said. "I want you'll like the." The next morning I woke up and wondered what dad had meant. I took the glass and sat a naked on a horse. I looked closer at the plate and found that this naked guy played just about every instrument himself – his name was Prince. I listened to the disc and it blew me away. I made it my goal to look for such a sound. "Dust" is created from it. I praise here in an ironic way, the good and bad things. This is an issue that stands out in all my writings – the ups and downs of life stress. I'm trying to spread a little more hope in my songs, even in those that seem rather bleak. "Seconds Of Pleasure" How many of my songs began this as a sort of garage-rockers quickly. When I listened to myself again, I thought, "Man, you must give this song another time kick." I took my guitar and played a little blues riff and improved on the song from there. I tried something like Muddy Waters and Willie Dixon to get – I love these old recordings on Chess – I merged this with a little Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield. I think I'm really close approached. "Hello, Goodbye" This is perhaps the most traditional rhythm and blues throughout the album, both in terms of lyrics and production. It is very straightforward, with simple lyrics. "Hello, Goodbye" is the last song I wrote for the album. All songs written between 1998 and 2000 – at that time I had a real surge of writing and the material just comes from that period. I took a bunch of demos in my basement in Atlanta, which I believed even as a complete album, but Andy Slater, president of Capitol, told me, "that sounds great, but why do not you go into a studio and see what because you can do it? " This has opened up completely new possibilities. I spent a year, my new songs to get in shape to try to save my old ideas and the same time stay open to new ideas. We started in Memphis – I wanted to go there to get a taste of the blues. I found it great, but my engineer and my band were less than enthusiastic. So we went to Nashville, where all felt much better. We stayed there for two weeks, then went to New York for a while and eventually landed in Los Angeles – in the end we had taken in seven or eight studios. "Down Here In Hell (With You)" This is a love song about the pleasure of a relationship breaks down, and then making a comeback. This is perhaps my favorite song of the album. "What Can I Say" One of the favorite pieces from many people. I have tried to capture the feeling, when four clock in the morning wakes up, wiggles his toes and on to something special, remembers what one has happened – perhaps great sex, maybe someone you love, but which is no longer there . Capture this moment, this hour, before you again sinking back into sleep. We had David Campbell, Beck's father, can qualify for the string arrangements, incidentally, also in "Precious." He was incredibly professional. He came in, asked me later, according to my ideas, and an hour he was ready. That's great. I've also worked with other incredible musicians on the album – Lenny Castro on percussion, Matt Chamberlain on drums and Patrick stopped by Warren, to play some keyboards, played pedal steel guitar Paul Franklin. It's funny – the musicians I admire most are included in the 40's and 50 plates. The now all disappeared. And I'm not really up to date. If someone tells me, Lenny Castro passes, does that mean for me not so much. Nevertheless, as Wendy Melvoin past, looked at a few tracks – "Hold My Hand" and "Precious" – to play rhythm guitar, that was exciting. She really was a great help when it comes to the whole process. Since she had played with Prince, she understood, of course, exactly the music I was trying to make. She is also an incredibly good Rhythmusgitarristin and I'm on rhythm guitar. Which is so important, not just talking about it. It turns from Fela and James Brown, but everything around it. "Anything (To Get Your Attention)" This was originally a punk song, but we did but then decided to revise it much funk-oriented. This track was recorded and mixed by Melissa Mattey, who worked in the studio in Nashville. That was pretty slick – they knew I would come this morning alone, and when I arrived, she was playing their own stuff, some demos, where she worked. That appealed to me and I said, "I'm here this song, where you have to work with me." It was actually the first time that she has very mixed recordings alone. She is a fantastic sound engineer. "Highlights" This is perhaps my most personal song. It is about a very intimate relationship with a girlfriend who decided one day that it was time for a change – without consulting me first. From the song was born. First I wanted to tell her so, "kiss my ass". When I wrote the song, it was, "please, kiss my ass one more time." "Precious" This is a true story about a woman who has supported me and made sure that I have a good self-esteem. It's my way of saying "you are precious, because you have given me the feeling of being valuable." "Her December" I was raised by my mother, and sometimes they reacted very violently to some of my foolishness. I remember when I was in my room and my mother with loud steps down the hall, came as the fear came over me, the fear of her wrath. I took over this feeling in relations with other women – I do some stupid and knows that I will finally meet the anger. This is what "Her December". "Hold My Hand" This is a fantastic love affair with David Bowie and Britney Spears in the lead roles. No joke. "Who Will Love Me In Winter" I see this as a smart, face-preserving option for a cave man to show his vulnerability. Perhaps he has beaten her with a club on the head and now she is gone. Now he has to worry all the cold winter to be alone. "Out Of The Sky" Still one of my favorite songs – about an uncle who was very successful for a while, but then was down on his luck and fell back to earth. Only when he's high, he can cut back on the wall. When I wrote the song, I imagined, as he returns to his mother and asks her to free him for the sewing room, so he can move in there. I'm definitely inspired by actual experiences and relationships, but I think the songs I write are rather small film scripts. I call that situational music.
